The heartbeat is the most personal, most honest, and at the same time the most vulnerable expression of life that one person can share with another. We hear it only as an embryo in our mother’s womb – or when we rest our head on the chest of someone we love. It is a moment that requires trust and allows for vulnerability.

Stillness, connection, closeness, openness – these are the impulses I wish to share through this performance.

In a time shaped by fear, I want to create a moment of remembrance: A gentle reminder of what makes us human, of what connects us all and of the preciousness of life: the heartbeat.
